This finding could prove to be one of the most important discoveries in the history of the Pyramids of Giza. According to experts who have analyzed the Great Pyramid of Giza, there are ‘thermal anomal
Live footage from a thermal camera of limestone blocks from the Khufu pyramid are displayed showing different colors representing varying temperatures during a press conference, in Giza, Egypt, Monday, Nov. 9, 2015. Egypt's Antiquities Ministry says a scanning project in the Giza pyramids has identified thermal anomalies, including one in the largest pyramid, built by Cheops, known locally as Khufu. "We do not know what it is, it could be other material, a passage or anything else… we have to check with other scientists," “It could be that hot air is coming out of the pyramid" he added.
Furthermore, the "scanning" with infrared technology also allowed experts to identify three hot spots in the middle of the pyramid, which also have a higher temperature than the rest of the blocks. “Scan Pyramids” as the project has been called began on October 25th and involves a group of scientist from countries like Egypt, Canada, Japan and France.
'The teams have concluded the existence of several thermal anomalies that were observed on all monuments during the heating up or the cooling down phases,' the statement said. 'To explain such anomalies, a lot of hypotheses and possibilities could be drawn up: presence of voids behind the surface, internal air currents.'
The ‘impressive anomaly’ was found on the eastern part of the Great pyramid at ground level which has led researchers to believe there might be numerous hidden chambers built into the great pyramid.
'The first row of the pyramid's stones are all uniform, then we come here and find that there's a difference in the formation,' said Antiquities Minister Mamdouh el-Damaty.

While researching the pyramid, el-Damaty said that there is something like a small passage in the ground that you can see, leading up to the pyramids ground, reaching an area with a different temperature. What will be behind it?'
But the mysterious anomalies found at the bottom of the pyramid are not the only ones. According to the team of scientists, other heat anomalies were detected in the upper part of the Pyramid which need to be investigated further.
'Khufu will give away some of its secrets,' el-Damaty said.
After scanning the east side of the pyramid of Cheops, the next step is to install a fixed thermal imaging camera that will record every day for a year, to accurately identify the profile of this area and the various anomalies that could give scientists insight as to what is causing these Pyramidal anomalies.
The main objective of this project is to find out the exact formula and way that allowed the ancient builders of the Pyramid achieve the incredible feat of placing incredibly heavy stones, one above the other, and raise up to a height of 150 meters a majestic building, something modern-day engineers cannot replicate.
