Official Navy Images Reveal UFO Encounter In The Arctic Sea

The incredible images of Unidentified Flying Objects in the Arctic originated from the USS Trepang, SSN 674 in March 1971.

The following case was made available thanks to John Greenewald from “The Black Vault” who in turn received the incredible images from researcher Alex Mistretta.

The photos here displayed are evidence of a “close encounter” between forces of the United States Navy and Unidentified Flying Objects on the “edge” of the Arctic Ocean in March 1971.

These images were supposedly taken in March 1971 from a United States Submarine, the USS Trepang (SSN-674), a Sturgeon-class attack submarine.

The official location where the sighting occurred was between Iceland and Jan Mayen Island in the Atlantic Ocean. (Jan Mayen belongs to Norway, and is only inhabited by the Norwegian Meteorological Institute and the Norwegian military.)

The UFO sighting occurred by accident as the military was in the region on a routine joint military and “scientific” expedition. According to reports, the officer who initially spotted the Unidentified Flying Object was John Kilika using the periscope.

So after looking at the images what are your thoughts? When I first looked at the images, I was shocked. I have seen thousands of images of alleged UFOs throughout the years while some of them cannot be explained in any way, some others are certainly fabricated images.

The images made available by Alex Mistretta have certainly puzzled me and seem authentic. Yet, they seem to resemble the movie “Battleship” at the moment the giant alien ships which were submerged under the ocean, come outĀ underneath the ocean and confront the military.

The USS Trepang sighting will surely become one of the best recorded UFO sightings in history.

Let us know what you think about these images, do you think they are really depicting extraterrestrial vehicles? Or is it possible that another explanation, more “human” can be attributed?

  1. Thank you for a great article on my case. I’ve seen a lot of UFO photos in my years as an investigator, I was the Director of Investigation for Los Angeles MUFON for 10 years, (I know work with Steve Murillo at UPARS) but these really grabbed my attention when I saw them, and decided to take this case on. Certainly this could be a hoax, it’s obviously hard say based on pictures alone, from an anonymous source. That said, the Trepang submarine USN 674 was in the Arctic in March of 1971, and the Admiral was Dean Reynolds Sackett. Steve and I reached out to Admiral Sackett this morning and he said “All I saw was Ice”

  2. Its exactly how these things have always been described since the very first reported sighting. Triangular, single wing vehicles. The smoke indicates high frequency energy converted to heat due to engine failure of some sort, and since there is no visible fire, I am guessing heat from some sort of electromagnetic field drive. That is, if these photos are real, which I kinda doubt.

  3. What is the origin of the pics? Are they stored in the national archives? What is their security designation? When were they declassified?

  4. Annunaki and Alpha Draconis, contemporary. Cool.

  5. They certainly look real to me ,you have to remember that this was in 1971 there wasn’t any CGI at that time. That is what leads me to believe that this is real and not fake.
